TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo finished another full day of competition at the Rocket Fall Invitational collecting six combined wins vs. Denison and Holy Cross College (Ind.). The Rockets are now a combined 9-3 through two days of competition.

Toledo opened the day taking three of four matches against Denison, including the only doubles match.

Marko Galic were on the winning side of a tough 6-1, 7-6(1) decision against Jack Bulger/ Colin Gramley.
Both
Luis Kleinschnitz and
Matias Olivero collected wins in two-set decisions in singles competition. Kleinschnitz won 6-0, 6-4 over Milan Gonela, and Olivero won 6-3, 6-1 vs. Daniel Garcia. Denison's only win came from Nadeem Jones who defeated Vlad Mluta in a 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 decision.
Rockets then collected three wins vs. Holy Cross College, including the only doubles matchup. Kleinschnitz/ Olivero won their opening set 6-4, dropped the second set 4-6, and closed out the third set with a 10-6 victory for the match win.
In singles play, both Galic and Wetoszka picked up come from behind victories. Galic was defeated in the first set, 6-7, won his second set 7-6, and closed with a 10-3 victory for the win. Wetoszka lost 3-6 in his opening set, dominated 6-2 in the second set, and came out victorious with a 10-5 final for the match win. Holy Cross College's only victory was a three-set decision over Meluta, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.
Competition will conclude Sunday morning starting with three matches at 9:00 a.m. and be split between UT Varsity Tennis Courts and Shadow Valley Tennis Club. The schedule can be found below.
