TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo softball senior and Farmington Hills Mercy High School alumnus
Anna Dixon was inducted into the Detroit Catholic League Hall of Fame Monday night. Her class included a total of 10 student-athletes and eight coaches.
"Being inducted into the Detroit Catholic League Hall of Fame meant so much to me," Dixon said at the induction banquet. "I feel truly lucky to be a part of such an incredible group of athletes and people. I would not be at Toledo without my high school softball experiences, and I'm so grateful for all of the people that encouraged and supported me to be where I am today."
Dixon graduated from Farmington Hills Mercy High School in 2018, where she was a four-year varsity starter and impact player on one of the strongest programs in Oakland County. In her four years, she played a total of six different positions (all outfield positions, shortstop, catcher and third base). Dixon was a three-time all-district and All-Catholic honoree, and a two-time all-region and all-state honoree.
In her 2017 season, Dixon had 78 hits, 73 runs, and 70 RBIs, and is the only player in Michigan Division 1 to ever accomplish that feat of "70-70-70". In 2018, she was named as a Catholic League Scholar Athlete, as well as a Detroit Free Press Sports Award nominee for Player of the Year.

The Marlins had an overall record of 114-29 over her four seasons. Dixon helped her team to three district titles, two regional championships, the 2016 State Championship title and Catholic League title, a trip to the state semi-state finals (2015), and two additional appearances in the Catholic League finals (2017, '18).

In her career, she had 226 hits, 177 runs scored, and 42 doubles in 140 games played. She reached base safely in 126 of the 140 games she played and had a 33-game hitting streak. She had a career batting average of .500, and a Career OPS of 1.1829.

Her 16U travel team, Finesse Bressler/Rex, also won the JO Cup National Title in 2017.

Off the field, Dixon logged more than 50 hours of community service while participating in Mercy Make a Difference Day.
The Novi, Mich. native started her collegiate softball career at Hillsdale College before transferring to the University of Toledo in 2020.In her career with the Rockets, Dixon has become an NFCA Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-MAC honoree. She led the team with 30 runs scored in 2021 and had a fourth-best batting average (.397) in the MAC this past 2022 season. In program records, Dixon has the second-most runs scored in a single game (three) and doubles hit in a single game (two).
