Pawit Sornlaksup Picks Up MAC Player of the Week Honors

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo sophomore Pawit Sornlaksup was named Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week on Thursday.
Sornlaksup contributed to Toledo's 6-1 win over Buffalo on March 25 and the 7-0 sweep vs. Binghamton on March 27. Sornlaksup defeated Cheng Thang of UB (6-2, 6-2) to help the Rockets to their 10th win of the season. Hedropped his first set on the No. 1 court vs. Kyle Weekes (BU) but came back to win his match (1-6, 6-4, 6-3) to keep his win-streak alive at 15 matches. He is also 5-0 against conference opponents.
This is the Rayong, Thailand native's third MAC Player of the Week honor this season.
The Rockets are 11-6 with a 4-1 record in MAC play, and will play Ball State on Saturday, April 2 in Muncie, Ind.
