Angel Hii Tied for Second Place After 36 Holes at Nevel Meade Collegiate

PROSPECT, Ky. – Sophomore Angel Hii is tied for second place and three strokes out of first place following Monday's opening two rounds of the Nevel Meade Collegiate. Hii's play has helped the Rockets to a fifth-place team standing at the par-72, 5,953-yard Nevel Meade Golf Club.

Hii opened her day with a four-over par 76 before improving to a one-over par 73 for a 36-hole total of five-over 149. She tallied three birdies in her final 18 holes and was at two-under par through 13 holes.

Freshman Yedam Lee is tied for 21st place at 12-over par 156, including a four-over par 76 in her opening 18 holes.

Junior Amelia Lee carded the Rockets' second-best round today with a three-over par 75 in the second round. She is tied for 31st place at 15-over par 159.

The final two members of Toledo's lineup are sophomores Cheryl Hong (T-62nd/84-80=164) and Kaitlyn Natividad (T-67th/81-85=166). Sophomore Macy Hanus (T-49th/84-78=162) and junior Claudia Sampson (T=62nd/82-82=164) are competing as individuals.

Tournament host Cleveland State and Youngstown State are tied atop the tournament leaderboard at 35-over par 611. Bellarmine's Josephine Bonin is leading all individuals at two-over par 146 (76-70).
