PLACIDA, Fla. - Senior Lukas Clark shot a career-low five-under par 66 and is tied for 10th place at one-under par 141 following Monday's play at the Coral Creek Club Invitational. Clark's stellar round led Toledo to a ninth-place standing after the first day of competition at the par-71, 7,143-yard Coral Creek Club.
 
Tournament host FGCU currently leads the 16-team field at 13-under par, 11 strokes ahead of Liberty. The middle of the leader board is tightly packed with the Rockets just seven strokes out of fourth place at 10-over par 578. Toledo currently leads two teams in the Golfstat.com Top 50, No. 18 Texas A&M and No. 27 South Florida, by one stroke.
 
Clark was the only Rocket to finish under par through 36 holes. Junior Barend Botha is at one-par 143 (70-73) through two rounds in a 23^rd-place tie.
 
Junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen ended his day at four-over par and is tied for 39^th place after shooting an even-par 71 in the first round and a 75 in the second round. Junior NJ Botha is at seven-over par (76-73=149) and tied for 58^th place, while senior Max Siegfried is tied for 86^th place at 163 (89-74).
 
The Rockets will return to the course tomorrow morning for the third and final round.
