TOLEDO, Ohio – Freshman Yedam Lee was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday. Lee is receiving the honor for the first time in her young collegiate career after registering her best round and finish as a Rocket.

A Lawrenceville, Ga. native, Lee tied for fifth place at the Tchefuncta Invitational in Covington, La. She carded a two-over par 73 in her final 18 holes en route to a career-low nine-over par 222 for the tourney. Lee also matched her career-best round with a three-over par 74 in the opening 18 holes.

Lee led the 53-player field with 41 pars and played her first 11 holes of the final round at one-under par before finishing at two-over.

Lee and the Rockets will now be idle until returning to the links on Monday-Tuesday, March 14-15 at the Spring Break Shootout in Dade City, Fla.
