TOLEDO, Ohio - Three Rockets were named to the Academic All-District team by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

Junior Judge Culpepper, along with sophomores Maxen Hook and Nick Rosi, were all named Academic All-District for the first time in their careers for Toledo, which is 7-4 and headed to the MAC Championship Game on Dec. 3 as West Division champions. All three players are now on the ballot for Academic All-America.

Culpepper has started all 11 games at defensive tackle and has 39 tackles and 4.0 tackles for loss. Hook has played in nine games and is third on the team with 64 tackles. He had game-clinching interceptions in both the Eastern Michigan and Ball State games. Rosi has started all 11 games at either right guard or right tackle and is part of an offense that ranks first in the MAC in scoring (35.1 points per game).

The 2022 Academic All-District Football Teams selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and play in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. No student-athlete is eligible until he or she has completed one full calendar year at his or her current institution and been on a college roster in that sport for two years.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late December.
