ANN ARBOR, Mich.  – Toledo juniors Shalini Tallamraju and Cassie Alcala had their run in the ITA Midwest Regional come to an end on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"I'm really proud of how Shalini and Cassie competed throughout this event," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "They work so incredibly hard and so it was great to see them play so well this weekend."

Tallamraju was eliminated from the tournament after falling to Northwestern's Christina Hand in two sets.

Alcala saw her time end after falling to Michigan's Lily Jones in a three-set battle. Jones took the first set, Alcala won the second set to force a tiebreaker, and Jones won the third set for the match win.

The Rockets posted a combined 9-6 record over three days of competition in the regional.

Toledo will be back on the court this week when it hosts its annual Indoor Rocket Invite on Oct. 28-29 at Twos Athletic Club.
