TOLEDO, Ohio – Seven student-athletes from the University of Toledo men's tennis squad have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes, the International Tennis Association announced. The Rockets have also earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor.

Filip Zupancic, Max Skaer, Cole Shoults, Nikola Arsic, Vlad Meluta, Thawin Suksathaporn, and Luis Kleinschnitz were the Rockets' seven ITS Scholar-Athlete honorees. To be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

This marks the third ITA Scholar-Athlete honor for Arsic and Shoults, the second for Kleinschnitz, Skaer, and Zupancic, and the first for Meluta.

For a team to receive ITA All-Academic distinctions, the program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letterwinners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
