TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo travels to Central Michigan this Saturday, Oct. 16 (3:30 p.m./CBS Sports Network) for what is shaping up to be a critical MAC West Division contest for both schools.
Toledo (3-3, 1-1 MAC) is coming off a 22-20 loss to Northern Illinois on Oct. 9 and can ill-afford to fall further behind the Huskies (2-0 MAC) in the race to represent the West Division at the MAC Championship Game.Â
Toledo's loss to NIU was tough to swallow because it easily could have gone into the win column. The Rockets scored a go-ahead touchdown with 3:35 remaining, but the Huskies answered with a field goal with just 26 seconds left.Â
   Junior
Bryant Koback led the Rockets with 91 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns, one on a 40-yard run and the other on a 75-yard reception. Redshirt freshman
Dequan Finn connected on 10-of-17 passes for 186 yards and added 25 yards on the ground. Toledo had 372 yards of offense, while Northern Illinois had 371. Toledo was hurt by third-down conversions, making just 1-of-10 while NIU made 7-of-18.
Central Michigan (3-3, 1-1 MAC) is coming off a 30-27 come-from-behind win over Ohio last week. Kalil Pimpleton caught a game-winning 28-yard TD pass from Daniel Richardson with 3:55 remaining. CMU's other MAC game was a 28-17 loss at Miami on Oct. 2.Â
