PHOENIX, Ariz. - Toledo holds a 10-stroke lead with approximately four holes remaining in the second round following Saturday's play at the Grand Canyon Invitational. Play was stopped at the par-72, 6,187-yard GCU course due to darkness and will resume at 8:00 a.m. PT with the third and final round to follow.

The Rockets posted a season-best three-under 285 in today's opening round and currently stand at one-over par. Southern Utah is in second place at 11-over par with Utah Valley in third place at 18-over par. South Dakota State's Teresa Toscano leads all individuals at four-under par with three holes to play.

Three Rockets sit in the tournament's Top 10 with seniors Pimchanok Kawil and Pinyada Kuvanun in third and fourth place at two-under and one-under par, respectively. Kuvanun carded a three-under 69 in the first round, while Kawil carded a one-under 71. Senior Natcha Daengpiem is in ninth place at one-over par.

Kuvanun's score was as low as four-under par before she tallied three straight bogeys. Kawil was at three-under par before bogeying her 15th hole. Daengpiem was red-hot on the back nine of her first round with four birdies after opening her round four-over par through 10 holes. She has tallied five more birdies with three holes to play in the second round.

"Today was a solid start overall to our spring," Head Coach Jenny Coluccio said. "It was our first opportunity to test both the mental and physical things we have been working on. I'm proud of the patience the entire team showed, specifically Natcha for trusting her process and creating a great comeback."

Junior Saranlak Tumfong is tied for 14th place at four-over par, while junior Thunpijja Sukkasem is tied for 46th place at nine-over par.
