TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team opens its spring season this week when it travels to the Bayou State for the 34
th annual Louisiana Classics on Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 25-26. The two-day event will be played at the par-72, 6,866-yard Oakbourne Country Club. The 54-hole tourney will consist of an 8:00 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on Monday with the final round starting on Holes 1 and 10 at 7:30 a.m. (CT) on Tuesday.
The tournament will be the first of five events the Rockets will compete in prior to the 2019 Mid-American Conference Championships on April 26-28.
"We are going to push ourselves against a really tough schedule this spring," Roope said. "I believe that doing so is going to challenge us, help us continue to improve and reach our goals."

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
• Fifteen schools are participating in the Louisiana Classics.
• Joining Toledo in the event will be five programs ranked in the Top 100 of Golfstat's rankings - No. 26 Illinois, No. 57 Kent State, No. 79 North Texas, No. 83 UTSA and No. 99 Sam Houston State. Also participating are host Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Rice, Southern Miss, Texas State and Wichita State.
• Toledo is participating in the Louisiana Classics for a third-straight season. The Rockets tied for ninth place last year after finishing 11
th in 2017.
