Rockets Place 15 on Academic All-MAC Team

TOLEDO, Ohio — Fifteen Toledo football players earned spots on the 2019 Academic All-MAC team, the conference office announced Monday.
The Rockets' 15 selections rank third in the MAC and are the second-most in program history. This is the third Academic All-MAC selection for senior offensive lineman Cameron Bell, senior defensive lineman Nate Childress, senior tight end Reggie Gilliam, and junior running back Shakif Seymour.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
