Toledo, Ohio – Joshua Page has been named the graduate assistant coach for the University of Toledo men's tennis team, head coach
Al Wermer announced today.
"Josh brings a lot of knowledge from three areas: as a top international junior player, as a team member in a top 20 D-1 program, and as someone who participated on the ATP tour at the very highest level," said Wermer. "Beyond that, he brings a large amount of enthusiasm. We are very pleased to have him and he will help our program improve even more."
In 2017, Page served as an assistant coach for Croatian tennis player Borna Coric. Page assisted Coric to a third-round appearance in the US Open, with victories over Alexander Zverev and John Isner, ranked 4th and 17th in the world, respectively.
Page also played tennis at the University of San Diego, where he made the West Coast Conference All-Tournament Team for singles as a senior in 2017 with a 16-16 record. He also made First-Team All-WCC for doubles with a 25-9 record. In 2016, Page made WCC All-Tournament Team and All-WCC Second Team for doubles. During Page's time on the team, the Toreros claimed two WCC championships.
Prior to his stint at the University of San Diego, Page attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, where he was named an All-American in singles and doubles and was a 2014 Junior College National Champion. Page was also ranked fifth in the nation in doubles during his freshman season at ABAC.
Page hails from Ruislip, Middlesex, England, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of San Diego.
