Toledo, Ohio— The University of Toledo football team kicks off its season this Saturday, Sept. 1, and the athletic department would like to provide some useful parking information to those planning on attending the game.
Kickoff for the game is 7:00 p.m. and gates will open 90 minutes prior. Students are reminded that they may attend games free by presenting their Rocket I.D. card.
To ensure a positive game-day experience, fans are advised to arrive early in order to give themselves plenty of time to find suitable parking.
New for this year is Stadium Drive Live, a free event that will open three hours prior to kickoff and give fans the chance to enjoy food, drinks, and live music before all Saturday home games.
For games in which Stadium Drive Live, which is presented by iHeart Radio, is scheduled, Stadium Drive will be closed five hours prior to game time from south entrance of Parking Area 10 to the footbridge (from Bancroft St.). With the street closures to accommodate Stadium Drive Live, fans with parking passes for parking areas 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 will be instructed to enter their respective parking areas from either Douglas Rd. (3, 4, 5, & 6) or East Rocket Drive (10).
In addition to these modifications, it is suggested that fans avoid entering campus via Bancroft St. due to construction. Secor Rd., Dorr St., or Douglas Rd. are all good options for anyone planning on attending Saturday's game.
