Pinyada Kuvanun Earns MAC Women’s Golfer of Week Honors

TOLEDO, Ohio - Junior Pinyada Kuvanun (Khonkean, Thailand) was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday after tying school records for 18-hole and 54-hole stroke totals. Kuvanun is receiving the honor for the fourth time in her collegiate career and the third time in UT's 2017-18 campaign.
Kuvanun posted a five-under par 67 and a six-under par 210 to finish as runner-up and lead the Rockets to a third-place finish in the UNF Collegiate. Kuvanun led all players in the tournament with 40 pars. She also registered 10 birdies, tied for first in par-three scoring at two-under par and posted just four bogeys over 54 holes.
Kuvanun and the Rockets are now idle until March 16-18 when UT travels to Mesa, Ariz. for Notre Dame's Clover Cup.
