Jameson Vest (Peachtree City, Ga.) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Toledo's 45-13 victory over Ball State on Oct. 31.

Vest broke two career records in the Ball State game. He connected on the 69th field goal of his career, breaking the previous school record held by Rusty Hanna (1989-92) and he successfully converted his 212th career extra point, topping Jason Robbins (2002-05) for the most in school history. Vest was 1-for-1 on field goals, a 29-yarder, and 6-for-6 on extra points for nine total points in the victory.

The Rockets (5-4, 3-2 MAC) travel to Northern Illinois (6-3, 5-0 MAC) on Wednesday Nov. 7 in a critical MAC West Division contest.
