NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – University of Toledo senior
Natcha Daengpiem captured her first collegiate tournament title on Monday after posting a career-best four-under par 212 (71-66-75) at the MAC Preview. Daengpiem's performance propelled the Rockets to a second-place showing in the team standings as UT finished just two strokes behind champion Xavier at 21-over par 885.
After posting a career-low 66 in the tournament's second round at the par-72, 5,991-yard Purgatory Golf Club yesterday, Daengpiem overcame cold and windy conditions today to register a three-over 75. That round matched the third-lowest of the day and left her three strokes in front of Central Michigan's Bria Colosky, who finished as the runner-up at 74-70-71=215.
"My focus today was to just enjoy the round and stay positive," Daengpiem said. "I'm so excited to win and I was happy that I was able to stay focused throughout the entire day. This is really going to help me continue to build my confidence."
"I'm very happy and proud of Natcha to achieve two milestones over the past two days," first-year head coach
Jenny Coluccio said. "She was focused on her process today and did a wonderful job of embracing the elements. Natcha discovered how to use and adapt her mindset and energy and she is just unlocking her potential."

th place at 14-over par 230 (74-74-82) and junior

th place at 27-over par 243 (76-81-86). Junior
Donchanok Toburint competed as an individual and tied for 45
th place at 21-over par 237 (75-78-84).
After registering 33 birdies in the first two rounds, Toledo could manage only five today due to the change in conditions on the course.
"The conditions were vastly different today as the wind picked up and the temperatures dropped," Coluccio said. "Purgatory really showed its strength today. We were a bit too tentative and defensive to start the day, but I was happy we were able to settle in and turn it around."
The Rockets will only have a few days off before returning to action at the Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 20-21.
