13 Rockets Named to Academic All-MAC Football Team

 Toledo, Ohio – Thirteen University of Toledo student-athletes were named to the 2017 Academic All-MAC football team, the conference office announced today. It is the second-highest number of Academic All-MAC selections in UT history, tying the 2014 squad, which also had 13. The 2000 team had 14 Academic All-MAC honorees.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. Â First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
The 13 honorees are Liam Allen, Cameron Bell, Nate Childress, Justin Clark, Reggie Gilliam, Bryce Harris, Nate Jeppesen, Shakif Seymour, Brad Smith, Brad Spelman, Tyler Taafe, Brant Weiss and Logan Woodside.
