Eight Rockets Named to Academic All-MAC Football Team

TOLEDO, OH – Eight University of Toledo student-athletes were named to the 2015 Academic All-MAC football team, the conference office announced today. The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.  The eight honorees were senior Allen Covington, senior Ruben Carter, sophomore Nate Jeppesen, junior Storm Norton, sophomore Brad Spelman, junior John Stepec, sophomore Cody Thompson and senior Alex Zmolik.
