
13 Rockets Named to Academic All-MAC Football Team

Toledo, OH - The University of Toledo football team had 13 student-athletes named to the 2014 Academic All-MAC team, the MAC Office announced today. Toledo had the second-most players on the academic team, trailing only Central Michigan and Northern Illinois, who each had 14.
Named to the team were Jeremiah Detmer, Mike Ebert, Nate Jeppesen, Greg Mancz, Jordan Martin, Jeff Myers, Chase Nelson, Storm Norton, Zac Rosenbauer, Brad Spelman, John Stepec, Logan Woodside and Alex Zmolik. Mancz and Detmer are both three-time awardees.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
