Post-Game Notes
· Toledo defeated Bowling Green for a series best fifth-straight time.
· With two catches for 19 yards, junior WR Alonzo Russell has now caught a pass in 36 straight games.
· Sophomore Kareem Hunt carried the ball 30 times for a collegiate-best 265 yards, becoming the 15th Toledo player to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. Hunt became the third-fastest player in school history to reach the mark, doing so in 27 quarters. He trailed only Wasean Tait (25 quarters) and Dwayne Harris (26 quarters).
· Hunt also had a career-best 91-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. It was the third-longest rush in Toledo history behind Ben Tombaugh (95 yards in 1988) and Jalen Parmele (92 yards in 2006).
· With more than 100 yards in the contest, Hunt has now hit the century mark in nine-consecutive games dating back to last season.
· Sophomore safety Connery Swift made the first start of his career in place of injured senior Jordan Haden. Swift finished with six stops.
· Junior DE Keenen Gibbs forced Bowling Green into a punt in the third quarter with his second sack of the season.
· Senior PK Jeremiah Detmer had a 29-yard field goal blocked in the first play of the fourth quarter. It snapped a streak of 11-straight field goals made by the fourth-year Rocket.
· Senior QB/WR Dwight Macon rushed for 30 yards on eight carries and two touchdowns. It was his second-consecutive game with two rushing scores.
· Macon and sophomore QB Logan Woodside split time at quarterback in the game. Macon completed 1-of-2 passes for 10 yards, while Woodside went 8-of-18 for 53 yards and two interceptions.
