Jason Robbins Named Academic All-MAC

Toledo, OH - University of Toledo senior placekicker Jason Robbins (Sylvania, OH) was named Academic All-MAC in a vote by the Mid-American Conference faculty athletic representatives, the league office announced today. It is the second straight season that Robbins has made the Academic All-MAC team.
Robbins, who was one of 20 semifinalists for the 2005 Lou Groza Award as the nation's best placekicker, connected on a perfect 12-of-12 in his field goal attempts this season, including a career-long 44-yarder in Toledo's 44-41 overtime win at Bowling Green on Nov. 22. He also made 48-of-49 extra points. Robbins was named MAC Special Teams Player of the Year and was also named second-team All-MAC. He ranks first all-time at UT and the MAC with an 82.2 percent career success rate for field goals (37-of-45).
Robbins is a graduate student studying exercise science. He holds a 3.875 in his graduate studies. He completed his bachelor's degree in the spring of 2004, finishing with a 3.756 in exercise science.
