Toledo, OH - Approximately 4,000 tickets remain for sale to the general public for Wednesday's football game between the University of Toledo and Northern Illinois, according to UT Athletic Ticket Manager Roseann Croop. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. for the nationally televised contest (ESPN2). UT is holding about 8,000 seats for UT students, who are admitted free to the game with a valid student I.D.
Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office at Savage Hall, by phone at (419) 530-GOLD or online at www.utrockets.com.
Toledo (7-2, 5-1 MAC) can clinch at least a share of the MAC West Division title and a trip to the MAC Championship Game on Dec. 1 with a win over the Huskies (5-4, 4-2 MAC). The Rockets would win the West Division title outright with wins over NIU and Bowling Green on Nov. 22. If Toledo beats NIU on Wednesday and loses to Bowling Green, the only school that could tie the Rockets for first in the West Division would be Western Michigan (7-3, 5-2 MAC), but the Rockets would advance to the MAC Championship Game by tie-breaker (head-to-head victory over WMU on Sept. 10).
Toledo, the defending MAC champion, has earned at least a share of the MAC West title in six of the past eight seasons and appeared in the MAC title game five times.

Also, the first 7,000 UT students through the gates will receive a pair of thuderstix to help make noise and cheer the Rockets on to their 18th consecutive victory at the Glass Bowl.
