Recap | Final Stats | Notes
Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski
"It's little things out there. We'll start getting a rhythym and then something breaks down. Each guy out there has his own mistake on a different play. We just need to come together and re-group. Once we get it together and get rolling, we'll be fine. It's only the second game of the year. We played two good football teams who came ready to play."
"When you play a team like Kansas or Minnesota, you better come with your best game. We haven't done that yet. We haven't put things together. Once we do thatyou'll see us click. You'll see us start rolling. We've just got to keep working hard."
Defensive Back Michael Broussard
"We were prepared for them just like any other team. We tried to respond but they played a good game. You have to give them credit. They're a good team. We just have to get ready for Eastern Michigan."
Head Coach Tom Amstutz
"At the start of the game we kept giving them a short field. Giving Kansas a short field will put you in jeopardy. We made too many errors--fumbles, tipped balls that were intercepted. Those are 100-yard mistakes that give a team a lot of chances to put points on the board in a hurry."
I give Kansas a lot of credit for playing well. We just have to get better as a football team. We have to execute and do the little things right."
"The second half we got a little bit better."
(losses) "It's not going to be demoralizing to our team. We have too proud a tradition to let this keep our heads down. We'll keep pushing and working our way through it."
