- Sophomore Bruce Gradkowski made his debut at QB by completing 14-of-27 passes for 124 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Back-up Cedric Stevens was 3-of-7 for 21 yards and no TDs.

- Toledo gave up 28 points and 458 yards in total offense, but overall the defense performed well. Consider that 14 of UNLV's points came either directly or indirectly off turnovers. Also Toledo's defense scored one touchdown of its own, added an interception and held the Rebels to just 3.8 rushing yards per carry.

- Senior Paul Dye's 80-yard touchdown off a fumble recovery was the third TD of his career. The other two came off blocked punts.

- Junior tight end Andrew Clarke tied his career best with a pair of TD receptions, 12 yards and 6 yards, among his four catches.

- Senior punter Brandon Hannum averaged 44.0 yards on five punts, including a 60-yarder, and pinned UNLV inside the 20 four times.
