"I said before the game that we really respected Temple's defense. They're a very athletic team. We felt they were talented and well-coached."

"Temple's missed field goals gave us momentum and started our kids talking about a shutout. That's what we came here to accomplish. We had kind of a slow start and it definitely swung the momentum our way."

"You might say we didn't play well. I thought some of that was Temple. They were very good defensively and they made us look funny at times. The credit is to them."

Defensive End Leo Frierson

(on sprained left knee) "I'll be fine. I could've gone back in. I was alright. I was just laying down for awhile. I was tired."

"We didn't play up to expectations but we found a way to win."

Wide Receiver Carl Ford

"The first touchdown was a hitch adjustment. He was playing up so it was an opportunity to get the long ball. The second one was a broken play. We have an athletic quarterback who scrambled out and made the play. I give Tavares the credit for that one."

(comparing offensive performance with Minnesota win) "We had more big plays today. We hurt ourselves with penalties. It slowed our offense down and hurt us at times. Otherwise, I don't think it was too different from last week."

"Our defense played a great game today. They don't get enough credit. They play great defense. For us to win, they have to continue that."
