"I thought Chester Taylor set the tempo for us with his extra effort and tough running. He showed versatility with the run and with his 43-yard pass reception."

"We had some big plays, a lot of good runs and catches. I thought we mixed it up well. Central had to defense the pass and the run. It gave Chester a chance to run the ball."

"Give a lot of credit to (Central Michigan's) James King. We prepared for him all week and he still got a punt block on us. He has a great gift and I hope he blocks a lot more punts this season."

"I thought the defense did a great job early on when the game was on the line. They made some big plays and gave us some oppotunities to score. I'm proud that every defensive player got to play. We still have some things to work on. But give Central Michigan credit. They played hard in the fourth quarter."
