
Six Rockets Named to NGCA All-American Scholar Team

TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo placed six Rockets on the 2017-18 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. UT had a school-record seven members on the NGCA's scholar squad last year.
Junior Natcha Daengpiem (Chon Buri, Thailand), junior Pimchanok Kawil (Chiang Mai, Thailand), junior Hannah Kochendoerfer (Lambertville, Mich.), junior Pinyada Kuvanun (Khonkean, Thailand), sophomore Donchanok Toburint (Nontha Buri, Thailand) and sophomore Saranlak Tumfong (Chiang Mai, Thailand) each earned a spot on the squad. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
???The six Rockets selected to the squad each possess a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher. During the 2017-18 academic year, Toledo posted an athletic department-best 3.776 GPA in the fall semester and ranked second with a 3.673 GPA in the spring semester.  Tumfong paced the Rockets with a 3.904 GPA followed by Daengpiem (3.884), Kochendoerfer (3.879), Toburint (3.734), Kawil (3.675) and Kuvanun (3.610).
