
Five Rockets were honored by the Mid-American Conference with postseason accolades.
Curry, Minarchick Highlight Postseason Softball Awards

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Toledo softball team had four players receive all-conference accolades and also received a pair of specialty awards as the Mid-American Conference handed out postseason awards on Tuesday.
Junior Kailey Minarchick and freshman Bailey Curry were both named first-team All-MAC, with Curry also taking home the MAC Freshman of the Year award. Senior Ashley Rausch was honored by the conference with a second-team All-MAC selection and freshman Kylie Norwood was named to the all-freshman team by the conference coaches.
Curry leads the team in most offensive categories including average (.370), hits (60), home runs (13), RBIs (44), walks (27), total bases (105), slugging (.648) and on-base percentage (.464). Curry's 13 home runs is tied for a Toledo single-season record. The Frankfort, Ky. native finished first in conference batting average with a .452 clip.
Minarchick was dominant in the circle during MAC play for the Midnight Blue & Gold. The Columbia Station, Ohio product recorded an 11-1 record with a 1.51 ERA in league play and her 83.1 innings pitched ranked sixth in the conference. On the season, Minarchick is 18-5 with a 2.22 earned run average in 157.2 innings. Her 18 wins marks the most by a Toledo pitcher since 1992.
Rausch's first all-conference nod come after hitting .312 (43-for-138) with three home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 walks this season. The Milford Center, Ohio native leads the team with 14 stolen bases and has scored 23 runs for the Rockets. Rausch will finish in the top 10 all-time at Toledo in steals (5th), runs (6th), walks (8th) and hit-by- pitches (3rd).
Norwood was a table setter at the top of the lineup all season for the Rockets. The Santa Clarita, Californian led the team with 38 runs scored while hitting .307 (51-for-166) on the year. Norwood second on the team with 51 hits, 10 doubles and 23 walks, while also stealing seven bases.
Toledo head coach Kristen Butler was named MAC Coach of the Year to round out the honored Rockets.
The No. 3 seed Rockets will take on No. 6 Central Michigan on Wednesday, May 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the first round of the MAC Tournament.
