Toledo in Sixth Place Following Third Round of MAC Championships

FORT WAYNE, Ind. –Toledo sits in sixth place following Saturday's third round of the 2018 Mid-American Championships. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,331-yard Sycamore Hills Golf Club.
Senior Stephen Watts is leading the Rockets and is tied for ninth place. He is just three strokes out of the Top 10 at 10-over par 226 (74-75-77). Senior Colin Joseph is tied for 22nd place at 18-over par 234 (79-75-80).
Sophomore Thomas Thurloway carded UT's best round of the day with a three-over par 75 and is tied for 26th place at 19-over par 235 (79-81-75) with junior Duncan McNeill (77-77-81).
Rounding out the Rocket lineup is junior Spencer Shoemaker at 26-over par 242 (78-81-83).
Ball State leads the nine-team field at 26-over par 890, 10 strokes in front of two-time defending champion Kent State. The Cardinals' Michael VanDeventer holds a three-stroke lead in the race for medalist honors at two-over par 218 (70-71-77).
The tournament's final round will be held on Sunday.
