Toledo to Face No. 7 Miami or No. 10 Ohio in MAC Quarterfinals on Thursday

TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo will be the No. 2 seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament and receive a bye to the quarterfinal round Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The Rockets have earned a first-round bye three times in the last five years.
The other three teams to earn byes are No. 1 seed Buffalo, No. 3 seed Eastern Michigan and No. 4 seed Ball State.
Toledo will play the third game on Thursday in Cleveland with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. The game will air on ESPN3. The Rockets will meet the winner of Monday's first-round matchup between No. 7 seed Miami and No. 10 seed Ohio to be played in Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio.
UT was victorious in its lone meeting this season vs. the RedHawks, posting a 73-67 road win on Feb. 9. The Rockets won both of their matchups vs. the Bobcats, 91-57 on Jan. 16 in Athens and 82-74 on Feb. 13 in Toledo.
With a victory in Thursday's quarterfinal, the Rockets would play in the second semifinal Friday at approximately 9:00 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network. The championship game will be played Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
UT finished the regular season with a 21-10 overall record and was 13-5 in league play. The Rockets finished two games in front of second-place EMU to capture their third outright MAC West Division title and seventh shared crown in school history.
