Rockets Head to Raleigh Relays

Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's track and field team will head down to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to compete in the 2018 Adidas Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State. The two-day event will feature athletes from across the country and will take place in the NC State Paul Derr Track and Field Facility.
"This is a really big meet and usually provides some top-level competition so we're excited to head down," head coach Linh Nguyen said. "We've had some time off since the end of indoor, and this is a good chance to see where we are heading into the outdoor season."
The Rockets will send 24 athletes to compete in the Old North State, including senior Stephanie Barlow, junior Anna Bellman, junior Olivia Chinn, sophomore Atalia da Silva, graduate student Danda da Silva, junior Katie Dewey, junior Sally Frank, graduate student Ty'Shai Freeman, freshman Kennedey Glover, junior Nautica Hill, freshman Michelle Hostettler, senior Joan Jepkirui, junior Christina Johnson, junior Yana Khabina, freshman Chloee Kleespies, junior Jennifer Lichter, senior Janelle Noe, sophomore Stephanie Sherman, senior Petronela Simiuc, freshman Karoline Steppin, sophomore Tori Thompson, sophomore Athena Welsh, junior Shanice Williams and freshman Riley Kwiatkowski.
LAST TIME IN RALEIGH
UT sent 20 athletes to the Raleigh Relays last season and saw excellent performances in both track and field events. Khabina earned the best overall finish for Toledo after taking sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.38. Sophomore Maddie Jarrett was UT's second-highest finisher, going 3.35m in the pole vault to take eighth. Johnson (200m, 25.01) and Danda da Silva (400m hurdles, 1:02.35) rounded out the Rockets' top-10 finishers.

Admission is free for fans interested in attending. For parking, the Reynolds Coliseum Deck (upper levels) and the West Deck (when the Coliseum deck is full) will be used for van and car parking. The Jeter Drive Parking Lot (located immediately next to Reynolds Coliseum) can be used after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30 and on Saturday, March 31 for parking.
The Raleigh Relays will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra for a block of time on both Friday and Saturday:
