Rocket Notes
  • Under head coach Cory Mee, the Rockets are 15-21 against Miami.
  • Toledo started off its conference season with a series win for the first time since 2015. That year, UT took two out of three from Kent State. This season marks the first time since 2013 (at Ohio) that the Rockets started MAC play with a road series win.

The rookie is hitting a team-best .370 in March (20-for-54) entering this series and has a team-high .443 on-base percentage. He is second on the Rockets with 11 RBIs in that span and he is currently riding a 15-game on-base streak, best on the Rockets this season.
  • Since entering the starting lineup at second base last Saturday, senior Casey Gose is 8-for-12 with three RBIs and has at least two hits in all three contests.
  • Senior Sam Shutes has earned three different weekly awards this season: MAC Player of the Week following his start against Sacred Hear (3/4), and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week and CollegeSportsMadness.com MAC Player of the Week after his start at Western Michigan (3/24).
  • The Rockets have hit three home runs in a game three times this season— at Austin Peay (2/23), at Southeastern Louisiana (3/6), and this past Saturday at Cincinnati (3/17).
