Heather Webb Named MAC West Pitcher of the Week

TOLEDO, Ohio - Junior Heather Webb has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
This is Webb's second player of the week award this season and the Rockets' fourth weekly award overall. Junior Kailey Minarchick and freshman Bailey Curry were also honored earlier this year.
The Madisonville, Ky. native tallied her eighth win of the campaign with a three-hit shutout at Morehead State. Webb struck out a career-high seven batters and held the Eagles to a .125 average in the 4-0 win.
This was Webb's fourth complete game and her first shutout of the year. She now boasts an 8-5 record with a 2.04 ERA in a team-high 68.2 innings of work.
Webb and the Rockets will begin their MAC schedule with three games at Akron on March 23-24.
