Toledo Tied for Third After 36 Holes at Mission Inn Spring Spectacular

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Toledo utilized a balanced lineup on Saturday and sits in a third-place tie at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular. Five Rockets are separated by just three strokes and reside in the tournament's Top 30, leaving UT just nine strokes behind tournament leader and No. 27-ranked TCU.

Junior Duncan McNeill is leading the way for Toledo and is tied for 12th place at four-over par 148 (73-75). He posted a team-best one-over par 73 in today's opening round after registering four birdies. McNeill was actually three-under through 11 holes in his second round but triple-bogeyed his 12th hole en route to a three-over 75.

One stroke behind McNeill are sophomores Joe Bryce (77-72) and Thomas Thurloway (78-71) tied for 15th place at five-over par 149. Thurloway's one-under showing in the second round was UT's best of the day. He was on his way to an even better score but played his final four holes at three-over par.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup are seniors Colin Joseph (75-76) and Stephen Watts (78-73) at seven-over par 151.

The Horned Frogs' David Ravetto holds a three-stroke lead in the race for medalist honors after carding a five-under par 139 (70-69).

Sunday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the El Campeon Golf Course at the Mission Inn Resort and Club.
