Junior Pinyada Kuvanun Earns MAC Women’s Golfer of Week Honors

    TOLEDO, Ohio - Junior Pinyada Kuvanun (Khonkean, Thailand) was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday after winning her first tournament as a collegian and helping Toledo win its first tournament of the season. Kuvanun is receiving the honor for the third time in her collegiate career and the second time in UT's 2017-18 campaign.

    Kuvanun finished five strokes ahead of her nearest competitor after firing a two-under par 70 in the final round en route to a 54-hole stroke total of four-over par 220 (77-73-70). Kuvanun's play helped the Rockets card a team total of 50-over par 914 (313-298-303) to post a 13-stroke victory over Northern Illinois.

         Kuvanun and the Rockets are now idle until March 5-6 when UT travels to Jacksonville, Fla. for the UNF Collegiate.
