Women’s Tennis Heads to Cleveland for Two-Match Weekend

Toledo, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team will head to Cleveland, Ohio this weekend to face off against Duquesne on Saturday and Cleveland State on Sunday.
"I thought we had a strong first weekend and we are looking to build on the performances from last weekend," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "Our two new players, Kokoro Chishaki and Thalita Rodrigues are assimilating themselves nicely into our culture, and I am happy with what they bring to the team. I also want to acknowledge the superb leadership of our captains, Sidnay Huck and Claire Aleck so far this winter season."
The Rockets return to the court after opening the winter season with a victory at home last Friday against Chicago State, and falling in a tightly contested match against powerhouse Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich. on Sunday.
Saturday's match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. first serve, with Sunday's match slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. Both matches will take place at Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion, home to Cleveland State's men's and women's tennis programs.Â
