Rockets to Honor All-Century Team at Halftime of Saturday’s Football Game

Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo will be honoring members of its All-Century Football Team at halftime of this Saturday's game vs. Tulsa at the Glass Bowl. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Approximately 25 of the 50 members of the All-Century Team are expected to be in attendance at the game, along with some former head coaches. Among those expected to attend are former quarterbacks Chuck Ealey and Bruce Gradkowski, who finished No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in an online vote by fans in May. Others who will be recognized at halftime are Mel Long (No. 4), Curtis Johnson (No. 9), Eric Page (No. 11) and Tom Beutler (No. 13). Former head coaches Jack Murphy, Gary Pinkel and Tom Amstutz will also be among the honorees.

UT is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of its football program in 1917. Free posters honoring the milestone will be available to fans at the Fan Experience Table (West Concourse) and will also be distributed at the exits at the end of the game. Also, the first 1000 UT students who enter the game will receive a free 100-Year Anniversary pop socket. In addition, Campus Activities and Programs (CAP) will be giving away 250 100-Year Anniversary baseball caps to UT students throughout the game.

Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. game can be purchased at the UT Athletic Ticket Office, online or by calling 419-530-GOLD (4653).
