Rockets Place Seventh at Wolf Run Intercollegiate

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – Sophomore Joe Bryce tied for a career-best 11th place to lead Toledo to a seventh-place showing on Sunday at Indiana's Wolf Run Intercollegiate. The Rockets carded a team score of 20-over par 304 today to finish at 55-over par 907 during the three-day event at the par-71, 7,155-yard Wolf Run Golf Club.

Bryce finished the tourney at eight-over par 221 (74-73-74), two strokes away from a top-five standing. The Bathgate, Scotland native tied for fifth in the field in par-three scoring at even-par and was three-under par on par-five holes.
Sophomore Thomas Thurloway matched Bryce with the Rockets' best round today with an even-par 73, resulting in a 37th-place tie at 16-over par 229 (75-81-73).

Rounding out the Rocket lineup were junior Duncan McNeill tying for 45th place at 19-over par 232 (78-75-79), freshman Dylan Van Fossen tying for 50th place at 20-over par 233 (79-72-82) and senior Stephen Watts (T-59th/80-77-78=235).

Kentucky captured the team title at 20-over par 872 after firing an impressive four-over 288 in today's final round. Miami's Patrick Flavin edged out teammate Brian Ohr for medalist honors at two-under par 211 (70-72-69), one shot ahead of Ohr's one-under 212 (66-74-72).

Toledo returns to action next week when it hosts the Inverness Intercollegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 18-19.
