Rockets Head to Venice After Two Days in Florence
8/15/2017 11:03:00 PM | Men's Basketball
VENICE, Italy – The men's basketball program traveled by bus from Florence to Venice on Tuesday morning. After taking a ferry into the downtown shopping district, the team spent time shopping for souvenirs and taking a gondola ride.
The streets of Venice were packed which was much different than what the team saw in Rome and Florence. Venice has 400 bridges and is at sea level. The city is built on wooden foundations with limestone and either brick or stone on top of that.
The team ended the day by taking a short drive to Jesolo where it will be staying for the rest of the trip. The Rockets will play their final game of their foreign trip on Wednesday night at the U.S. Army Base in Vicenzo.
