LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sophomore
Joan Jepkirui closed the book on the 2017 season with a 19th-place finish in the 5,000-meter run on the third day of the NCAA East Regional Track & Field Meet.
Jepkirui crossed the line in 16:39.32, which was the 14th fastest time in the second of two heat races. Jepkirui's performance was her third best time of the outdoor season.

Pacella took to the competition on Friday with weather as a factor and place 33rd in the high jump. Pacella cleared a height of 1.69m which was good for 13th in her flight.
Lambert and da Silva competed on Thursday during Day One in Lexington. With the top 12Â runners advancing to the NCAA Championships, Lambert placed 24th in a time of 34:57.01.Â
da Silva ran in the opening heat of the 400m hurdles and recorded a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:00.65 to land in 34th-place overall, 10 spots away from qualifying for Friday's finals.Â
