10 Rockets Make Athlon Preseason All-MAC Team

Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo had 10 players named to Athlon's 2017 Preseason All-MAC team, led by senior quarterback Logan Woodside (Frankfort, Ky.) and senior wide receiver Cody Thompson (Huron, Ohio) who were selected to the first-team offense.
Making Athlon's second-team All-MAC were senior running back Terry Swanson (Aliquippa, Pa.), junior wide receiver Jon'Vea Johnson (Gary, Ind.), senior offensive lineman Elijah Nkansah (Mason, Ohio), junior defensive end Olasunkanmi Adeniyi (Houston, Texas) and senior linebacker Ja'Wuan Woodley (Columbus, Ohio). Senior offensive lineman Nate Jeppesen (Portage, Mich.), senior defensive tackle Marquise Moore (Toledo, Ohio) and senior cornerback Trevon Mathis (Pittsburgh, Pa.) were named third-team All-MAC.
Toledo, which was 9-4 last season, opens the season on Aug. 31 vs. Elon at the Glass Bowl.Â
