CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior Stjepan Sisko was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First-Team for the fourth-consecutive season, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Â
"The only thing comparable to his overwhelming game and trophy case is his infectious personality," said Head Coach Al Wermer. "Stjepan's talent and power are amazing, and he's an incredible play maker. His confident presence at the number one singles spot will be irreplaceable. He's clearly one of the best Rockets ever."
Â
The Kastel Stari, Croatia native is the only men's tennis athlete in school history to be honored with All-MAC first-team honors for all four years of their career. Sisko previously was named, or shared, MAC Player of the Year honors in 2014, 2015 and 2016 (2016 Co-Player of the Year with Ball State's Lucas Andersen), and was also the 2014 MAC Newcomer of the Year. Sisko finished his senior season with a 16-6 overall record (4-3 MAC) at No. 1 singles, and an 8-5 overall mark (1-2 MAC) in doubles play at the top spot.
