Toledo, Ohio –Â
Sathika Ruenreong has been named Graduate Assistant Coach for the women's golf program, head coach
Nicole Hollingsworth announced on Friday.
Â
"I am very excited to have Sathika as my next graduate assistant," Hollingsworth said. "She is the most decorated player in school history and holds most of our school records. She will be a great addition to our program but now will be contributing as a coach instead of as a player."
Â
A Kanchanaburi, Thailand native, Ruenreong earned first-team All-MAC honors in all four seasons of her Rocket career (2012-16) and set school season records for stroke average (73.83), most rounds (36), most rounds under 80 (36) and tying the record for most tourney titles (2). She holds career records for lowest stroke average (74.94), most rounds under 80 (122) and the co-leader for most tournament crowns (4). Ruenreong also became the first Rocket ever to appear in the NCAA Regionals as she tied for 36th place out of 96 golfers at the Shoal Creek Regional.
