Rocket Tennis to Hold Summer Youth Camp

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's and women's tennis teams will host a youth tennis camp this summer on Monday-Thursday, June 19-22 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.

Boys and girls between the ages of 9-17 are invited to learn the game of tennis and improve their skills by the UT student-athletes. Kids are asked to bring their own tennis gear and packed lunch, but campers will be provided with a camp t-shirt, water bottle, snacks and prizes.

Cost of the 2017 Toledo Rocket Tennis Camp is $300.00 but certain discounts are available. To register for the camp or for more information, please visit: abcsportscamps.com/RocketTennis.

Discounts (one per camper):
• Child of University of Toledo faculty/staff: $25.00 off
• Two or more siblings attending camp: $25.00 off per child (Put sibling's name in comment section)

Camp Activities
• Tennis instruction (5:1 on-court ratio)
• Supervised play with fun team formats
• Instruction includes technical, tactical, mental
• Players grouped according to skill level & age
• Fitness testing and functional drills
• Other sport activities, off the court
• Guest speakers: life skills, healthy choices
• Constant supervision on and off court
• PROVIDED: Camp T-shirt, water bottle, prizes, healthy snacks, awards

Basic Camp Schedule
(8:45 a.m.) Registration & check-in
(9:00 a.m.) Tennis skill instruction/drills
(11:30 a.m.) Lunch (Bring Your Own)
(12:30 p.m.) Fun activity on campus
(2:00 p.m.) Team tennis match play
(4:00 p.m.) Pick up at courts
