Rockets Look to Capture First MAC Win vs. Miami, Ball State

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo (8-9, 0-4 MAC) will travel to Oxford, OH on Friday, April 7 for a Mid-American Conference matchup against Miami (7-9, 2-1 MAC) before heading back to the Glass City on Sunday, April 9 to host Ball State (16-2, 4-0 MAC). Both Friday and Sunday's contests are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Sunday's home match vs. the Cardinals is scheduled to take place at the UT Varsity Courts, with the rain site at Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Maumee. The contest will also be broadcast on BCSN.

"Being on the losing end of three 4-3 MAC matches has been tough," said Head Coach Tracy Mauntler. "But we have continued to learn from them while pressing on. We are working hard in practice and I'm very confident in our team."

UT is coming off two weekend losses to Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. Â Toledo dropped its match against the Broncos, 5-2, and fell to the Huskies, 4-3.

In both matches last weekend, junior Colleen O'Brien stepped up for the Rockets, claiming a pair of straight-set wins at third singles. She downed WMU, 6-3, 6-2, and then defeated Northern Illinois, 6-1, 6-1.
