Toledo, Ohio – Former University of Toledo football players
Storm Norton (Toledo, Ohio) and
John Stepec (Willoughby Hills, Ohio) were named to the 2017 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Â
   The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions who have maintained a 3.2 grade point average throughout their college careers. Other qualifications include being a starter or significant contributor in one's senior season and meeting mandated progress toward graduation.
   Norton, an offensive lineman, earned his bachelor's degree in communication in the spring of 2016, finishing with a 3.394 GPA. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in recreation and leisure studies. Norton was a two-time All-MAC honoree, as well as a two-time Academic All-MAC selection. He was chosen to play in the East-West Shrine Game in January.
   Stepec, a defensive end, holds a 3.408 GPA in criminal justice. He earned first-team All-MAC honors as a senior, and Academic All-MAC honors in his junior and senior seasons.
