Fifth-year senior Ross Achter leads the Mid-American Conference in ERA entering the weekend
Toledo Hosts Buffalo for Three-Game Series at Scott Park

TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo hosts Buffalo in a three-games Mid-American Conference baseball series for the last time in the foreseeable future starting at 3:05 p.m. on Friday, April 14 at Scott Park. Saturday and Sunday's games will begin at 1:05 p.m.
The series opener will be covered by BCSNÂ and Saturday will be streamed on live ESPN3. Easter Sunday will not be televised.
Friday: LHP Steven Calhoun (2-2, 3.51) vs. RHP Charlie Sobieraski (1-6, 5.48)
Saturday: LHP Ross Achter (3-3, 1.65) vs. RHP Shawn Dubin (3-2, 4.89)
Sunday: RHP Sam Shutes (2-4, 4.30) vs. RHP Brent Cleland (2-2, 5.18)
The Rockets (10-23, 4-5 MAC) have won their last two conference series against Western Michigan and Bowling Green in consecutive weekends. Against BGSU, the Rockets dropped the opener before rolling the Falcons, 20-4, in game two of the double header. The rubber match went into extra innings on Sunday with the Rockets coming out on top, 8-4.
 Junior AJ Montoya led the Rockets with three home runs in the series and leads the team with five on the year. Montoya also leads the club with 28 RBIs and 12 doubles. Junior Dalton Bollinger tops the list with a .295 average and 38 hits. Sophomore Ross Adolph is currently on a 10-game hitting streak and has raised his average to .242 on the campaign.
Fifth-year Ross Achter will start on Saturday and has allowed one earned run or less in each of his last five starts. Achter holds a 2-2 record with a conference-best 1.65 ERA.
Buffalo (10-19, 3-3 MAC) announced on April 3 that four sports will no longer be sponsored by the university. The reduction of baseball, men's soccer, men's swimming and women's rowing will take UB from 20 sports down to 16.
Brian Dudek leads the Bulls offense with a .330 average and 22 RBIs. Ben Haefner trails slightly in each category, hitting .274 with 21 driven in.Â
Toledo and Buffalo has each played their season series against Northern Illinois. The Rockets were swept by NIU (2-16, 4-7, 3-9) while the Bulls took two of three from the Huskies (6-3, 1-2, 3-1).
UT visits Dayton for non-conference action then travel to Kent State for its next MAC series with the Golden Flashes.
