Sisko Named MAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior Stjepan Sisko has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday. This is the first time Sisko has been named this season and the 12^th time he has earned the weekly honor in his career.

"Stjepan's changed gears in the past couple of weeks," said Head Coach Al Wermer. "As with any athlete, sometimes they put too much pressure on themselves and it can be counterproductive. I think his confidence is back and he seems really focused."

Sisko went undefeated last weekend and dominated the top of the in his final two home matches at Toledo. He downed Ball State's Lucas Andersen in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, just two weeks after he lost to Andersen in an extremely tight match. Sisko then posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory over NIU's Bor Muzar in his final home match. The Kastel Stari, Croatia native is now 15-5 in dual matches and 3-2 in the league.

Sisko and the Rockets will travel to Vestal, NY to take on MAC opponent Binghamton in a 1:00 p.m. match on Saturday, April 15.
